William Shakespeare

William Shakespeare was born to (father) John Shakespeare on April 26th 1564. He was raised in Stratford United Kingdom. At the age of 18 he married 26 year old Anne Hathaway together they had three children. Mr. Shakespeare was best known for being a great english poet and playwrighter. Williams surving work  including some collaborations consist of 38 plays, 154 sonnets, 2 long marrative poems and several others. ( Childhood) William was a student of Stratford Grammar School. Shakespeare was confiscated from the school at age 13-14 due to his father’s financial and social condition, but he resumed his studies somewhere else. Unfourtunatly he died on the 23rd April 1616. (Greatest Playwright) William was and still is regarded as the greatest playwrighter that has ever lived. Many times he was referred to as Englands National Poet. He was reffered to as this because of his many wroks as some might have called them a work of art. Many say he is the greatest because his  plays have been translated into every major living language and are performed more often than those of any other playwright.
Elizabethan Era

The Elizabethan era was a time associated with Queen Elizabeth I's reign (1558–1603) and is often considered to be the golden age in English history. It was the height of the English Renaissance and saw the flowering of English poetry, music and literature. This was also the time during which Elizabethan theatre flourished, and William Shakespeare and many others composed plays that broke free of England's past style of plays and theatre. It was an age of exploration and expansion abroad, while back at home, the Protestant Reformation became more acceptable to the people, most certainly after the Spanish Armada was repulsed. It was also the end of the period when England was a separate realm before its royal union with Scotland.
